Kourtney Kardashian ~ Hot Mom on The Go!
Family and friends that know my personal style, will tell anyone that I love to wear jeans! Blue jeans are so versatile; you can dress them up with a trendy top and sandals or dress them down with a t-shirt and a pair of chuck tailor sneakers. Now matter how it's worn, denim is such a resilient fiber that can withstand any form of "wear and tear."
Because I am a busy mom and career girl, jeans are a staple item in my wardrobe. I generally purchase my blue jeans in different styles so my look will not become boring (I am not a fan of boring or mom jeans!) I also like to wear a dark wash because it compliments my "shapely" bottom. From skinny, boot cut, straight leg, and low rise, I love my jeans collection.

Recently, I had the opportunity (on twitter) to come across a blogger by the name of Misha. She's the editor of The Fab Chick (which is now one of my favorite blogs) and Misha wrote a fabulous article about denim cut off shorts. She goes into detail explaining this new trend while telling readers how to achieve this style. Of course, Misha roused up my creative spirit and I decided that minute it was time to recycle a pair of my jeans.
5 Easy Steps to Recycle Jeans
(1.) First I selected a pair of jeans that was the best fit for the style that I wanted to achieve.
(2.) I pulled out my "fancy" ruler to measure the length of how much I wanted to cut on my jeans.
(3.) I also cut along the pockets and front flap to make the cut off shorts a bit "edgy."
(4.) I put them in the washing machine on normal cycle to help the denim fray.
(5.) Lastly, I took a straight pin and picked away at the fabric.
The jeans I selected were from Old Navy (Style: The Diva) simply because I am petite but have a bit of an "apple bottom." Their jeans (for me) come in a short while giving me room in the thigh area to still look sexy without losing the proper fit. In addition, although my wardrobe has a few high-end pieces, at the end of the day I am a mom that thrives on a budget. So, I encourage everyone to find your favorite pair and don't be afraid to recycle those jeans!
