STELEEN BLOG: Press Preview Event: Neiman Marcus, Last Call Studio

As a fashion blogger, I am always enthusiastic about attending events in support of designers or newly opened boutiques. Last Monday, I received an invitation from Jessica Bacharach-Goldberg to attend the Neiman Marcus, Last Call Studio Press Preview.

Neiman Marcus is one of my favorite luxury retailers because of their store brands; quality of merchandise; and customer service. I was eager to discover (through my invitation) that they have recently opened a new off-price retail store!
The Last Call Studio is very unique from other off-price stores, selling in season and on - trend merchandise from a variety of designers. Designer labels include 7 for All Mankind, Juicy Couture, L.A.M.B., BCBG, and Diane Von Furstenberg. In addition, the store is comprised of apparel from Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodmans.

The Press Preview was held on November 11, 2010 in Rockville, Maryland. Once I arrived at the event, immediately I began to notice the visual presentations in the store. Mannequins were dressed in the latest trends and positioned in the store in a variety of angles. The layout of merchandise (clothing and accessories) were strategically placed according color, style and design.

Some of the latest trends that were showcased in the store included Masculine Feminine Infusion, Military Mode, Pearl Infusion, Animal Prints, Fur Fever, Lady Likes and Textured Mixes.

I also had the chance to shop for myself, purchasing a black, leather jacket by Romeo and Juliet Couture (for a GREAT price.) By attending the Last Call Studio Press Event, I had the opportunity to expand my knowledge about the fashion industry, make connections with people working in Public Relations and discover a new store (that's now at the top of my list) with my favorite brands for half of the price!
